Ojime Beads are hand carved boxwood miniature sculptures, skillfully detailed by master wood carvers. They originated in Japan where they were traditionally worn dangling from the Obi belt of a Kimono along with Netsuke and Inro boxes. This Goldfish Ojimi Bead measures 26x14mm and is top to bottom. Sold individually.
Symbolism: Goldfish, espcially Koi, are a symbol of good luck and good fortune. In myths and fairytales goldfish can grant wishes or make a dream come true. IThey are associated with abundance in Chinese tradition.
