Snowflake Obsidian is volcanic glass that forms naturally deriving from the rapid cooling of felsic lava. What makes it different from Black Obsidian is when the lava cools, small particles of white mineral get trapped into the stone forming intricate snowflake pattern. There are approximately 48 eight millimeter round beads strung on a 15 inch strand. Bead holes are approximately .8 mm and will accommodate size 6-8 Griffin silk beading cord.
